The Egyptian Arabian
Cairo Rose, Egyptian Arab mare
Mares | Stallions
The Egyptian Arabian is considered to be the world's oldest equine breed, with horses that resemble modern Egyptian Arabians dating back more than 4000 years. It is said to be the purest, and to be the 'mother' or substance behind all the different strains (Crabbet, Polish, Russian, Domestic/American, Babson). The Egyptian Arabian is the 'original' Arabian horse, originated from the Arabian penisula. The Arabian is very popular worldwide because of its beauty, elegance and mystique.
Breed description: overall light build, distinctive head shape (dished), refined body, high tail carriage, big intelligent eyes, small muzzle, elegant appearance. Purebred Arabians can be chestnut, black, bay, grey and rabicano. Sabino is not uncommon in the breed.
Naming Guidelines: Maximum of 21 characters including spaces, no more than 4 separate words. No numerical prefixes or suffixes or suffixes of Jr./ Sr.. Punctuation, apostrophes or diacritical markings are not allowed in the name. The only valid characters are letters A to Z, space and dash.
Our Program:
We offer sires and dams of Egyptian Arabian lineage for breeding. We have both standard lines which include many popular horses of the last 70 years, and we offer Nazeer-outcrosses. Nazeer was a straight Egyptian Arabian stallion whose progeny have had a huge impact on the Arabian breed. Many of his sons and daughters bred on, creating their own dynasty. Today it is very rare to have a horse that is not in some way linebred to Nazeer or that has at least one line to this stallion. We, however, do offer several straigth Egyptian Arabian mares and stallions that do not carry Nazeer in their bloodlines.
Our goal is to breed Egyptian Arabians with a good dose of Nazeer and non-Nazeer blood, by crossing mares and stallions of good type that are not too linebred. Other stallions that feature a lot in our program are: Ibn Hafiza, Sid Abouhom, Anter and Ibn Radban. Almost all our mares carry at least one line to Ibn Hafiza, the stallion that made us fall in love with Arabians. Our stallions carry mainly Anter and Sid Abouhom lines (combined with some Babson), and are great matches for our Ibn Hafiza bred mares.
