Shetland pony (picture not mine)
And we're back from vacation :) The end of the year is near and we are definitely ready to enter 2013 with a bunch of new models! Including...Shetland ponies? Yup, we decided to start collecting those adorable ponies as they are so colourful and cute. On top of that, did you know they are quite versatile? They are great riding ponies for children as well as good carriage ponies.
Anyway, on to the point. I started a new sculpture of a shetland pony mare. She has about 5 hours of work put into her, and she's coming along nicely so far. Eventually she will be released in resin in a hairy version and a 'clean' show-ready version :) But there is a long road ahead with this sculpture, so don't expect to see her released anytime soon. We would say she'll be done around January 2013 maybe :) We're not sure how many copies of her will be made, but it will probably be quite a small number (maybe 25 clean and 25 hairy ponies). For sure this will be my major project this year and next year, as this is the very first original sculpture I've done and the first resin I'm going to release. Excitement!!
In other news, the All Breeds Racing Board Starters Auction 2012 has started and people are now allowed to bid on lots they like. We have consigned 5 lots ourselves, all of them Thoroughbreds. Three of those 'foals' were sired by SMS Sky's On Fire, our famous Thoroughbred stallion :)
Last but not least, the results of the ABMHA Show for the last half of October are all in! SMS Let Freedom Ring and SMS War Front took Overall Champion of their divisions! Keep it up guys!
